Pantone has just announced the new shade for 2017 and it's a lush invigorating hue of Greenery à la Kermit the Frog. According to the colour institute, Greenery represented the "pursuit of personal passions and vitality." It's also supposed to help you feel refreshed and motivated to take on the New Year.

"Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment," said Pantone's Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman. "Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalise, Greenery symbolises the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose."

Besides that, Pantone's new colour could be a way for Kermit to get Miss Piggy back now that he's become the shade of the year.
