Kermit is basically Pantone's colour of the year
Miss Piggy is going to be all over this
Pantone has just announced the new shade for 2017 and it's a lush invigorating hue of Greenery à la Kermit the Frog. According to the colour institute, Greenery represented the "pursuit of personal passions and vitality." It's also supposed to help you feel refreshed and motivated to take on the New Year.
"Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment," said Pantone's Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman. "Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalise, Greenery symbolises the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose."
Besides that, Pantone's new colour could be a way for Kermit to get Miss Piggy back now that he's become the shade of the year.
PANTONE 15-0343 #Greenery is the PANTONE #coloroftheyear2017 selection 💚🌱 A fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew, #Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose amid a complex social and political landscape.
