Ring in the New Year at Nobu KL

Congratulations, you made it through 2016! Now end the year with an extravagant seven course omakase dinner created by Executive Chef Philip Leong at Nobu Kuala Lumpur.
The menu opens with a Zensai Moriawase platter which includes a refreshing serving of Lily Root ceviche and Ankimo with caviar Yuzu Miso before moving on to delicacies that include grilled lobster in jalapeno sauce, a perfectly seared baby sea bream salad and no Japanese meal would be complete without a sushi platter with scallops, tuna belly, mackerel and salmon roe.
The star of the show is the Kobe beef dish. Served with truffle tamari sauce and crispy tempura vegetables, the beef is ridiculously tender and is worth every penny.
After the menagerie of flavours, a soup dish of inaniwa (thin Japanese udon) is served with clear lobster dashi before a dessert of crescent shaped cheesecake served with green tea kuzu mochi and tangy sorbet to balance the sweetness. The dish is pretty as a picture (Instagram away, we don't blame you) and tastes just as lovely.
Nobu's New Year's Eve Omakase menu is available at RM250++ per person for the 5-course meal and at RM580++ per person for the 7-course meal. If you're going all out, Nobu is offering a premium champagne package to accompany the omakase menu at RM2,017. The New Year's Eve omakase menu is also available for lunch with five courses.
